Pregnant and Need to Schedule Newborn Photos?

If you’re expecting a baby and looking to capture those precious newborn moments before they change, I’m here to help guide you through the process.

Do your research…

Firstly, you’ll need to research the newborn photographers in your area and consider factors such as their reviews, portfolio, consistency, style, experience, safety training, insurance, studio quality, and available packages. Capturing a newborn is so special and due to the narrow window of opportunity you really need to do your homework and make sure your absolutely love their work, after all, these are images you’ll look at over and over for the rest of your life!

You’ve found a photographer you love…

Once you’ve chosen your favourite photographer, (*cough me!) reach out a few months in advance to ensure I have availability for you. If I do I’ll guide you through the booking process.

You’ve booked in for a newborn shoot, what happens next?

Now that your due date is in my schedule you’re all set. I only reserve a certain number of newborn slots each month to allow for flexibility in my schedule as generally we never know when babies will decide to show up. Once baby is born we firm up a date for the session, ideally for when baby is between 8 and 21 days old to ensure the squishy poses you see in my portfolio. .

I’ll also provide you with a prep guide to help you prepare for the session, including what to bring, where to park, and even styling tips if you want to be in the photos with your baby.

Your baby has already arrived. Have you left it too late?
