As a specialist newborn photographer in Hereford I've had the privilege of photographing hundreds of newborn babies and their families from the Herefordshire area, including Ross on Wye. I'm a qualified member of The Guild of Newborn and baby Photographers and I continue to educate myself in the art of newborn photography by training with leading photographers at every opportunity possible.

Seeing the tiny flicker of a heartbeat at your first scan, feeling that first kick, seeing them take their first breath and holding your newborn baby for the first time, is literally life changing. It's true that you'll never be the same again but the newborn phase slips away so quickly and it's gone before we know it. We think we have all the time in the world to be able to soak in those newborn details but those tiny crinkly hands, little forehead creases and fuzzy hair are all over in a matter of days. Capturing images of them so little will be more priceless than we realise.

WHERE

My beautiful studio is located in the village of Brockhampton in Hereford. It's the perfect cosy environment for new parents and babies. I supply all of the backdrops, headbands, bonnets and props so there isn't much for you to bring. No need to rush around and clean to get your house 'photo ready', which can be stressful. I want you to be able to come in, put your feet up and relax while I take care of everything.

WHY

I specialise in newborn portraiture with a timeless style, where your baby is always the main focus of every image and I make it a priority to keep up to date with all the latest safety recommendations and posing techniques to ensure your baby is the safest hands! I pride myself on being meticulous and I pay attention to all the little details. I believe you and your baby deserve the very best images.

HOW

A session fee * is paid to reserve a slot in my diary based on your due date. (I only book a certain amount of newborns per month to allow for the unpredictable nature of a babies arrival date so that I can be as flexible as possible. We schedule an appointment for the session as soon as baby arrives.)

Then I email a prep guide so you know what you need to bring with you, where you can park and other helpful tips to help the session run smoothly. I also email over a questionnaire for you to fill out and will work with your answers to design your custom sets. Everything is carefully thought out, perfectly planned and ready for you before you arrive.

THE EXPERIENCE

The day we've been waiting for is finally here!

You will be warmly invited in to make yourselves at home. My studio is cozy and comfortable and is fully stocked with baby care essentials, snacks and beverages. I even have a TV so you can watch netflix! My sessions are entirely baby led and my approach to photographing them is very relaxed. I never rush your baby and my focus is on their safety at all times. The day will be relaxed and memorable and I hope you love every second.

AFTERWARDS

After your session I will select the very best images and hand edit every one to the highest of standards for your gallery. 2-3 weeks after your session, you will have a private viewing and ordering appointment where you will get to see all of your beautiful portraits and make your image and product purchases.
